SPAM® Best Ever Baked Beans

These baked beans have such a rich, molasses flavour, it's no exaggeration to say they are the best-ever. In fact, we wanted to call them the Best Baked Beans In The Entire Solar System, but we thought that might be overstating things a bit.

Ingredients

  • 1 340g can SPAM® Chopped Pork & Ham cut into cubes
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • 2 coarsely chopped onions
  • 2 x 415g cans baked beans in tomato sauce

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Grease 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
  2. In medium frying pan, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add onions; cook 5 to 6 minutes or until transparent.
  3. In baking dish, stir together onions, beans, chili sauce, molasses and chili powder; mix well. Stir in SPAM® Chopped Pork & Ham; cover. Bake, stirring occasionally, 30 to 35 minutes or until hot and flavours are blended.
